CRAIG:
- is addicted to a diet beverage - Mountain Dew to be exact. He makes me laugh because although he is a health guru (see number 6) he justifies the caffeine and carbonation intake because it's diet. Hey, I'm not saying it's wrong because most of us do it. I'm just saying it's funny.
- is freakin' hilarious - He is. Very. Anyone who has spent any amount of time around this kid knows what a crack up he can be. Good one liners. Perfect timing. He's got a gift and he uses it.
- is known for his good looks and sparkling personality - Have you seen this guy? He's hot! Okay, that's gross his little sister is saying that but all my friends say that TO THIS DAY so I'm just quoting them. Plus Laura says it all the time!
- can be a disciplinarian and a softy all at the same time - He IS the boss at home (after the hours of 6 pm and on the weekends) and we all know when dad is home. Sounds kind of familiar actually. He just looks at you and you shrivel in defeat - even if you haven't done anything. He makes sure no one is doing anything stupid and receives consequences but as soon as you know it, there he is cuddling with one of the girls watching a movie. Or playing with Natester with his toys or hanging out with Justin on or off the ball field. He's a little bit of both. He's cool like that.
- has or could give great dental exams - Oh my gosh! This is hilarious. So every night Craig gets the kids ready for bed. Pajamas, teeth brush, story, the works. Well everyone is old enough to brush their own except Nate so he helps him. When the girls are done they are to report to him and he seriously inspects their mouths, tooth by tooth. "Oh that one needs a little more scrubbing. Oh molar three has some decay forming, better floss more and be careful. Uh oh, you need to go back and check those three teeth . . . I still see food." It is so entertaining to watch. Who does that? Really? My brother Craig does that! AWESOME!!!! As he says, "I have to. I'm the one paying the dental bill!!"
- feels better after working out (seriously???) - I guess most people do. I just ache all over. But I'm sure the fact that he runs like 6 miles a day and lifts weights has something to do with the great shape he's in. He needs to be . . . to run after and catch all those nerdy computer geeks!
- likes long walks on the beach - Well since he lives in California I'm sure he does. Maybe? Not sure actually. I know they visit the beach quite regularly. And he has to walk to get to where they are going to bask/surf/play/swim. See - I wasn't too far off.
- has a stamp in his passport - yes siree bob. Or is that one word like yessireebob. Who knows? Well he's been to Chile on the mish, Ecuador for work, Mexico for some fun stuff and probably a lot other cool countries that I have forgotten.
- has wicked jump roping skills - Yep! True that. He has spent a many Saturdays out back with Ally and Madi turning the jump rope round and round. And like a good little dad, every third round he takes his turn. I think he has passed Texaco and gone "all the way to Mexico" many, many times!
- is competitive (like that narrows it down) - He's a Porter. Period. End of story.
